In a Presidents Day Gallup poll, around 35 percent of participants claimed the government, politicians and leaders were the “top problems”. The percentage is the highest ever recorded since Gallup began asking the question back in 1939. The previous high came under Barack Obama’s administration and was recorded during the 2013 government shutdown.
The latest setback comes after a host of celebrities mocked Trump on social media during Presidents Day.
According to Newsweek, the poll report said: “President Donald Trump’s first two years in office so far have produced the highest average mentions of Government as the most important problem for recent Presidents, at 20 percent and 22 percent.
