'Don't panic' #bbcbreakfast's Dan Walker speaks out on Carol Kirkwood debacle

Dan Walker fronted Monday’s BBC Breakfast show with co-host Louise Minchin, 50, however, the programme did not exactly go to plan. As per usual, the hosts introduced meteorologist Carol Kirkwood to the programme shortly after 6am to report the weather forecast. But the presenter was abruptly cut-off half way through her segment and replaced with a peculiar credit, which read: “weather presenter editing playlist.” Presenters Dan, 41, and Louise were stunned by the technical gaffe and went on to discuss the unusual moment.

He continued: “But that is the end of the weather for now, we’ll sort that out for you and we’ll be back with Carol.

“That was very dramatic, she just went and we got the blue screen of doom.”
