It came after Matt presented a pre-recorded segment on speeding cameras the police use to catch drivers breaking the law.
Back in the BBC studio, he said: “A lot of people would say if you’re breaking the law, does it matter if you’re being watched or not?”
But Julia clearly disagreed as she jumped to reply: “I’m sorry, I would rather, please, if people who are seriously breaking the law… get the people who are stealing the cars, get the people who are breaking into your house.
“You can’t get a police report. If someone was breaking into your house these days…”
It was a hot debate wasn’t it
Alex Jones
“Would you say that if you were sitting next to someone who was a victim of a road accident?”
“No, but I know a lot of victims of burglary, I know a lot of victims who’ve had their cars stolen and the police go, ‘I’m really sorry, we haven’t got time. We can’t do anything. We’re not even going to give you a crime reference number'.
