Sabina said: “It is with heavy heart that I come on camera for the first time to talk publicly.

"My daughter Summer has been in a relationship with Paul Hollywood for just over a year and, in that time, she and my family have been thrust into the spotlight.

“She is a bubbly, funny and incredibly sweet-natured person and anyone who knows her well knows that she lives and breathes for her ponies and her dogs, all seven of them.

"We are a normal family and have always kept a small circle so now I must come back to the incident.”

Sabina went onto explain her version of the events which took place at the supermarket.

She said: ”Around 3.30pm on Valentine's Day, Summer was shopping at Marks and Spencer and at the checkout was confronted by a very angry Alex. She was loud and angry and said a lot of things in front of several witnesses that have been reported in the press.
