'I was losing sight' #Hollyoaks actress makes HUGE revelation after shock exit

Jorgie Porter, 31, was a fan favourite on soap Hollyoaks prior to her exit four years ago, but she has now said she was “losing sight” of what she initially trained for before her shock departure. The Dancing On Ice finalist, who is a trained ballet dancer, has since moved to the theatre world, which she revealed is her “favourite job in the world”. Speaking exclusively to Express.co.uk, when asked why she is back on stage, the actress said: “I think I was losing sight of what I'm trained for. “My grandma will be like, ‘You should be dancing on stage now, go back to it'.”

The stage performer previously played Theresa McQueen in the Channel 4 soap for seven and a half years before her final departure in 2016.

Jorgie said she does not have any plans to return to the soap opera just yet, although she is glad her character was not killed off.

Fans may recall the Hollyoaks favourite packed her bags and left for Spain and, in her final scenes, simply hugged her family and drove off in a taxi.

When asked if she was disappointed by her less than dramatic exit scene, the star admitted she would have liked a more explosive ending.

She said: “Of course I really wanted a dramatic ending but I'm just glad I'm not dead.”
