AJ Pritchard admits uncertainty over #StrictlyComeDancing return after Pasha ...

AJ Pritchard has addressed whether he will be returning to Strictly Come Dancing later this year after co-star Pasha Kovalev quit the series. The 24-year-old professional dancer has not yet been contacted by show bosses to confirm his place for the 2019 show. However, he is “hopeful” he will return and has set his sights on an unlikely celebrity partner to compete with him on the BBC One dance contest. Appearing on ITV’s This Morning, the ballroom star revealed he would discover his fate later this month and said his dream partner would be the Queen.

AJ, who has appeared on the programme since 2016, told hosts Eamonn Holmes and Ruth Langsford he was waiting to hear from producers.

He said: “Thing is we’re all in the same situation. Like any contract we wait for that phone call.

“Obviously I want to be back. Hopefully that phone call does come. It's all good."

After, Eamonn encouraged the performer to negotiate a higher fee for his services on the award-winning series.

Shrugging off the suggestion, AJ joked he is making extra money by starring in his upcoming live tour, Get On The Floor.

But he spoke fondly of Strictly and added: “Obviously the show is fantastic and we love it and I'll do it for many years as possible.”
