But despite the Americanisation of baby showers, the Duchess of Cambridge was the first Royal to hold such an event. Kate had a baby shower before the birth of her eldest child, Prince George, in 2013, the Daily Telegraph reported at the time. She was reported to have had the Queen’s blessing for the event held by her sister, Pippa Middleton.
Meghan took an eight-hour flight while seven months pregnant to celebrate in style in the Big Apple.
The former actress is also keen to maintain her American ties.
A source close to her revealed how much Meghan is enjoying her first pregnancy.
A palace insider told the Daily Telegraph: “She has sought medical advice throughout, but she’s felt well enough to keep carrying out engagements and undertaking overseas travel.
