In Emmerdale, which continues tonight (Wednesday, February 20) at 7pm on ITV, Kerry Wyatt (played by Laura Norton) is locked in a bitter custody battle with Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) over his son Kyle Winchester (Huey Quinn). ITV viewers could be excused for finding the Wyatt and Dingle family tree confusing, especially as Kyle has been raised by a number of people since his mother Amy Wyatt (Chelsea Halfpenny). Kerry Wyatt is the biological grandmother of Kyle Winchester, the son of Cain Dingle and Amy Wyatt.
Amy and Cain had Kyle in 2011 and the child has been raised by a number of different people since then.
Kyle was born after Amy and Cain had a one-night stand in April 2011.
Cain paid Amy to have an abortion, which she at first didn’t want and then decided to have – but by then the pregnancy was too advanced.
