Emmerdale actor Jeff Hordley, 48, who is married to his co-star, Zoe Henry, revealed he grows his own vegetables in an allotment to help with his Crohn's disease after fearing he would die when learning of his diagnosis. Loose Women panelist Carol McGiffin added: ”And you know it doesn’t have any chemicals in it, because you grew it."
Agreeing, he added: “What’s really interesting, don’t want to scare anybody, if I had cut the broccoli off and put it in the fridge, within 3 or 4 days it starts to wilt.
"But if I get an organic one from a supermarket, it will be okay a few weeks later."
