Former US Ambassador Michael McFaul staged the intervention concerning the US President in a week where it was admitted the FBI considered wearing a wire to tap Trump. Mr McFaul served in the position from 2012 to 2014 under Barack Obama and spoke of Trump’s tendency to accept whatever Putin says. He spoke MSNBC yesterday in the wake of Putin’s recent remarks where he alluded that he could target American “decision-making centre” if Washington deploys new missile systems in Europe.
Mr McFaul said: “We’ve seen time and time again that when Trump and Putin get together, President Putin spins lies and disinformation that President Trump accepts.
“The President of the United States, the commander in chief of the United States, parrots it. That’s very troubling.”
McFaul also outlined some of the misinformation that Trump has allegedly believed.
