Tucker Carlson stunned that no politicians will put British citizens first (Image: FOX NEWS)
Mr Carlson was interviewing the former Ukip leader about Shamima’s Begum’s plea to return to the UK after joining ISIS when was 15. He was shocked that there wasn’t a British politician “to protect British citizens" over ISIS terrorists. He added that surely there would be a “market” for this position.
He said: “It seems since you do live in a democracy there would be a market for some politician to stand up and say I’m not hating anyone else but my first job is to protect our citizens.
“Why don’t you have a national politician who will say that?”
Mr Farage responded by saying: “Occasionally one does say that and then they get abused - called racist, called extreme. Things that I’ve been called over these years.
“There is a consensus among British politicians that you don’t tackle these issues because they’re too awkward.
