‘The amount of tears’ #Strictly star drops backstage bombshell about #BBC show

Channel 4’s Sunday Brunch presenter Simon Rimmer took part in the 2017 edition of Strictly Come Dancing, alongside the likes of Alexandra Burke, Mollie King, and Debbie McGee.

While not the strongest in the competition - Holby City actor Joe McFadden went on to win the series with professional dancer Katya Jones - Simon became a favourite with fans.

Sadly, the celebrity was knocked out in week six of the competition, after improving week on week with pro Karen Clifton.

In a recent interview with Express.co.uk, Simon revealed despite enjoying his time on the competition, there was one day which was not enjoyed across the board.

He explained: “Everything [was difficult]. Honestly there’s not one part of it that I felt was easy.

“[But] Friday was the hardest day. Do all your training, then on Friday you do rehearsals in the studio and you do rehearsals with a live band.

“In training you’re doing it off a soundtrack.”
