Be careful this morning, as the Met Office has issued a SEVERE fog warning ...

A yellow weather warning for fog has been issued for parts of the south east and south west this morning. The Met Office has also warned of possible delays to journeys. The warning covers parts of Essex, Hertfordshire, Wiltshire, Buckinghamshire, Hampshire, Berkshire and Oxfordshire and runs until 10.30am.

Aidan McGivern from the Met Office said: “Last weekend in the meteorological winter and Spring can’t wait to get started.

“Where we get the sunshine, it’s going to feel very mild.

“But not everyone will get the sunshine because there will be some dense fog patches and not everyone will be out of the wind.

“Meanwhile in western Scotland and Northern Ireland, rain is forecast on Saturday morning that then fizzles out.
