Long Lost Family saw Davina McCall helping a man and a woman find their respective birth parents this evening.
Each guest of the show were on their own journey to attempt to find out why they were abandoned by their respective parents.
And while Jamie learned his parents were in fact alive, Karen was not so lucky.
Karen Waterton, 60, was given the news that both of her parents were unfortunately deceased.
However Karen found out this information through her half-sister, who was eager to meet her.
Viewers of the show were already left a little emotional by Karen’s tragic story, but things were about to get worse.
It was later revealed Karen’s mother already had a daughter before her, and then conceived a son after her.
Karen was unsure why her mother left her but kept a boy who was born years later.
