Emmerdale viewers struggled to trust Billy (played by Jay Kontzle) when he first arrived on the ITV soap last year, as Aaron Dingle (Danny Miller) immediately revealed they had a difficult past in prison.
Most were on Aaron’s side and even cheered when it was revealed Robert Sugden (Ryan Hawley) had secretly beaten up Billy.
But while the newcomer’s brother Ellis Chapman (Asan N’Jie) can’t stand the sight of him and even orchestrated a set-up to get Billy to punch him in front of their mother Jessie Dingle (Sandra Marvin), viewers have learned to like the mysterious character.
Yet in upcoming episodes fans could see yet another dangerous side of Billy when he potentially happens across a passionate moment between grooming teacher Maya (Louisa Clein) and teenager Jacob (Joe Warren-Plant).
The soap has recently revealed there will be some exciting flashback episodes coming up over the next couple of months, and will focus on unravelling an important night out for many of the village’s residents.
Among these will be Maya, Jacob, David, Leyla Harding (Roxy Shahidi), David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden) and Tracy Metcalfe (Amy Walsh).
If Billy stumbles across a startling scene between Maya and Jacob, will the ex-prisoner react badly and end up in a violent altercation with the school-teacher?
