Britons thinking about heading to continental Europe during the Easter holidays will be able to pay far less than last year, the analysis of more than 100,000 holidays on offer showed. Tour operators are pushing down the prices of trips to Britons’ favourite holiday destinations in the continent by a record 24 percent. The uncertainty surrounding which consequences would a no-deal Brexit have on travels is one of the main factors which has brought many to put their holiday plans on pause - forcing tour operators to slash their prices. Emma Coulthurst, of price comparison site TravelSupermarket, said: “When you compare the forthcoming Easter school holiday period with last year, the price drops are unprecedented.”

A week-long package taken between the Easter school break, April 8 to April 22, to some of the most-loved destinations by British tourists, including Corfu, Mallorca and Ibiza, could cost about £100 a person, with flights included.

And bargain hunters can even find five-star deals for prices as little as £124 per person.

All-inclusive packages, which TravelSupermarket has found to be a favourite among the options offered to holidaymakers, have also been discounted.

An all-inclusive seven-night four-star trip to Greece could cost as little as £288 per person.

TravelSupermarket compared the year-on-year prices from January 1 to February 21 of holiday deals to be taken during the Easter break.

The website, which lists holidays from 25 tour operators, found that these two months, usually the busiest for reservations, presented prices never before seen.
