The comedian, 33, was caught sharing a smooch with his professional Strictly Come Dancing partner Katya Jones, 29, on a night out in London in October. After several weeks of training together, Seann Walsh and the Russian-born dancer were seen locking lips in a series of pictures. At the time, the funny man had been in a relationship with British actress Rebecca Humphries for five years. She subsequently revealed the kiss had occurred on her birthday while she was waiting for him at their home. In a seething statement, she said Seann had “texted at 10pm saying the two of them were going for one innocent drink”.
“We spoke and I told him, not for the first time, that his actions over the past three weeks had led me to believe something inappropriate was going on,” she explained, also confirming their split.
Both Seann and Katya later issued public apologies for their actions, with the former calling it a “one-off drunken mistake”.
Having laid low for several days after the pictures of them kissing were published, the pair appeared on It Takes Two to address the controversy, with Katya insisting her marriage to fellow Strictly Come Dancing professional Neil Jones, 35, was “fine”.
The couple first met in 2008 when Neil stood in for her dance partner at the time at a competition in Blackpool.
