Netflix last week released Northern Rescue, a Canadian drama series that sees a family leaving their home town for a new location after the death of the mother. Northern Rescue is set on Turtle Island Bay but is filmed on location in Ontario. The Netflix series has also filmed in Toronto, Canada, standing in for Boston.
The majority of Northern Rescue is set in a fictional town called Turtle Island Bay.
However, a number of scenes are also set in Boston, Massachusetts.
This is where John West (played by William Baldwin) and his family live before they move to the small town.
There, they live with John’s dead wife’s sister (Kathleen Robertson).
