John reached the final question on Who Wants To Be A Millionaire? last night but chose not to answer as he was left stumped by it.
Jeremy Clarkson asked him: “Which of these UK prime ministers need served as foreign secretary?”
He was given the choice of Winston Churchill, Alec Douglas-Home, Anthony Eden and Harold Macmillan.
But John did not have a clue as he explained: “There’s a slight bit of disappointment, which I know sounds ridiculous given it’s more money than I’ve ever seen in my life.
“When I used a lifeline early on I thought: ‘Oh God, I might mot even male it to £64,000.’
“I am not sure I could have faced speaking to Chloe afterwards. I don’t think she would have forgiven me.
“Having never seen that amount of money in my life, I wasn’t going to risk it. It’s not a feeling I would’ve liked to experience.”
Despite not answering the question, John still left with a staggering £500,000.
