Emmerdale viewers were left utterly sickened during last night’s instalment as Maya (played by Louisa Clein) and Jacob (Joe Warren-Plant) finally consummated their recent relationship and had sex on the ITV soap.
The awful scenes were devastating for fans at home, particularly because the soap has shown how much Jacob is beginning to struggle with his secrets and lies, and keeping the truth from his step-father David Metcalfe (Matthew Wolfenden).
The soap’s current boss has teased Maya will eventually be exposed for her sexual and mental abuse of the 16-year-old school-boy.
But the storyline is set to be much more long-running, with consequences for the teenager becoming far-reaching in all aspects of his life and as he attempts to rebuild a future in the village.
But as fans wait for the big reveal of who will discover Maya’s despicable actions first, there are reasons to believe it could be Jacob’s step-grandfather Eric (Chris Chittell).
Jacob has always had a relatively close relationship to the soap’s legendary character, and it makes sense Jacob could confide in the businessman rather than his own dad who is currently in a relationship with Maya.
