Amber Rudd apologised to Diane Abbott after she described her as a “coloured woman” during a BBC interview. The Work and Pensions Secretary was criticised by Ms Abbott online after her “revealing choice of words”. Ms Rudd made the comment while speaking on BBC Radio 2's Jeremy Vine show while discussing online abuse suffered by women.
