#GameOfThrones star speaks out on Yara Greyjoy's fate after THAT Euron capture

Game of Thrones fans are counting down the days to the first episode of HBO’s eighth season of the fantasy epic.

But some fans have been worrying about Yara Greyjoy (played by Gemma Whelan) since the beginning of season seven.

Dedicated fans will remember Yara was last seen on her ship back to the Iron Islands, drinking and partying, before she was eventually boarded and attacked by her uncle, Euron Greyjoy (Pilou Asbæk).

This put Yara in a bad situation, and viewers last saw her being marched through King’s Landing with chains around her ankles.

Since then, Yara has been fleetingly mentioned by Theon Greyjoy (Alfie Allen), who is determined to stage a rescue mission for his poor sister.

But Theon’s promises of rescue have not instilled fans with any hope for Yara, and are not sure whether they will ever see her again.

Yara actor Gemma has been quite tight-lipped about her appearance in the upcoming final season of the show - until now.

Recently posters showing off the show’s characters were released - but Yara was absent from the images.
