#HolbyCity viewers furious as show CANCELLED last minute due to #Brexit vote - ...

Holby City was due to air at 8pm this evening, with the likes of Jac Naylor (Rosie Marcel) and Ric Griffin (Hugh Quarshie) dealing with the aftermath of the events surrounding the crossover event with the emergency department on Casualty.

However, following the result of the Prime Minister’s Brexit vote this evening, which saw Theresa May’s deal rejected by MPs by a vote of 391 to 242, the show was cancelled to make way for EastEnders.

The BBC soap was pushed back for a news special programme airing in the aftermath of Parliament’s decision, and although it wouldn’t take up the whole hour, the broadcaster decided to pull the medical drama from the schedule.

Fans of the show were not happy with the news and quickly took to Twitter to express their dismay at the decision to cancel it.
