Lucifer (played by Tom Ellis) has been on a long journey with Chloe Decker (Lauren German) so far.
After a turbulent relationship in the three seasons so far, Lucifer and Chloe looked like they were heading towards romance.
However the final scene of the season showed off Lucifer standing over Cain’s (Tom Welling) dead body after a brutal battle.
And this was the moment Chloe walked in to see him wearing his devil face, revealing his true identity after all.
But earlier in the season Lucifer expressed desire to reveal his true self to Chloe.
However he couldn’t do it as he had “lost” his devil face - which prompted Chloe’s loss of faith in him as she assumed Lucifer was mocking her.
But fans of the show have begun asking why Lucifer didn’t simply reveal his wings to Chloe.
Reddit user ZRG99 asked: “He wanted to come clean with her in season three.
“Why didn't he just show her his wings instead of his devil face so he can prove to her that he is really a celestial being?”
Although it’s a great point, another fan chimed in to explain a potential reason for the show’s blindspot.
