The Umbrella Academy took viewers through a brutal journey of questionable child raising techniques, and superpowers.
And although the main cast seem indestructible, they have all come extremely close to death in the 10 episodes available on Netflix.
Despite the academy having powers, they couldn’t exactly stop the apocalypse when Vanya (played by Ellen Page) lost control of herself.
However the two assassins attempting to bring about the end of the world - Hazel (Cameron Britton) and Cha-Cha (Mary J Blige) - were left in bad situations.
After failing to keep her partner Hazel on the straight-and-narrow, Cha-Cha found herself desperately calling The Commission - the evil time travelling organisation - on a pay phone for a way out.
Meanwhile Hazel found a time travel briefcase and was set to leave this timeline behind alongside his brand new beau Agnes (Sheila McCarthy).
It doesn’t look like either of the killers were exactly safe in the final moments of the show, but their fates were left extremely ambiguous.
This has lead many fans to wonder whether they will return for a second season - if it eventually arises.
The duo have now spoken out about their characters’ next steps in an interview with IGN.
