Yellow weather warnings are in place across England with rain in the north west and wind across the entire country. Met Office meteorologist Alex Deakin said: “It’s going to be a gusty Thursday with most places seeing a fair few showers. Between the showers there will be some sunshine particularly across parts of eastern Scotland but it will be a gusty start to the day.
“Heavy rain falling through the night means a yellow warning is in force across north west parts of England.”
The north west will experience the worst problems with rain as it has built up over recent days, according to the Met Office.
The build-up of heavy rain is likely to flood homes and businesses in the region.
Spray and flooding on roads will also make
