The star has sparked concern among fans after he was spotted in a wheelchair earlier this week. The actor, who played friendly half-human half-giant Rubeus Hagrid in the hit saga, was seen at the Renaissance Hotel in London, where he was promoting Hagrid's Magical Creatures Motorbike ride at Universal. According to The Sun, Robbie was unable to walk around and was confined to a wheelchair.

A source told the publication: “Robbie has been in constant pain for years now, with his knee constantly deteriorating.

“He was wheeled in and out of the Harry Potter event on Monday which came as a big shock to fans given they’re so used to seeing him standing strong and tall as Hagrid.

“It’s left him unable to walk without any assistance and he’s been given a wheelchair while he waits to have a special surgical procedure in America to repair his joint.”

They added: “It’s hugely frustrating for him but he’s really hoping to be back on his feet after getting the operation.”
