Office Meteorologist Alex Deakin warned southern Scotland will see wet weather arrive on Saturday morning with some snow. He warned it will “mostly be over the hills but there will be some at lower levels”. Northwest England and parts of Wales will see heavy rain which “could cause some problems”. Wales and southern England will see continuing blustery weather with warnings in place for strong winds.
Mr Deakin warned: “In coastal areas this wind could reach 60-65mph.”
Throughout Saturday, there will be continuing outbreaks of snow across parts of Scotland which will turn to rain across the south.
