Kevin Clifton's ex Karen Clifton says she's ready to 'get back on the saddle'

Kevin Clifton, 36, and his wife Karen Clifton, 36, confirmed their split last year but have remained friends and professional dance partners. After moving on from their separation with her new man, opera singer David Webb, Strictly Come Dancing favourite Karen took to Instagram to share an honest message with her 161,000 followers earlier this week. She uploaded a video which showed her stretching and performing yoga moves on a mat, surrounded by her two pet pooches. “After a long and very much needed break for my entire self in which I don’t really get the chance to cause I’m a workaholic and never really knew the art of resting,” (sic) she wrote. “I am slowly starting to get back in shape and doing my favourite workouts and stretches at my own pace with the company of my two precious rescue dogs Betty and Marley.”

Speaking out about giving herself a break to rest and recuperate after a busy few months on Strictly, Karen continued: “Not gonna lie I’ve eaten everything you can possibly think of and I’m quite happy that I gave my body the chance to heal and breathe after intense months of dancing, deprivation of sleep and believe it or not sometimes not fuelling my body with enough food because of hectic schedules…”

The Venezuelan-born beauty admitted she felt “out of shape” but that she now felt ready to get back into the swing of things with her fitness after some down time.

“It’s okay to say it even tho people might think that I’m a robot and I workout and dance even in my sleep but I don’t,”(sic) she said.

“I’m just a woman that eats burgers and feels bloated during that special time of the month and doesn’t want to wear anything tight,” she added frankly.

“But now I feel rested and inspired to get back on the saddle and ready to sweat and be kind to my body in the right way,” Karen penned.
