Countryfile fans have certainly seen a number of strange goings-on on the the BBC show.
However this evening gave them another shock as they began watching Adam Henson birthing a lamb.
Venturing into his lambing pens, he announced: “Our first block of lambing is in full swing!”
“All of these are pregnant in the pens, but I’ve got one yew who is giving birth now.”
After claiming one lamb to give to another sheep, he noticed the sheep in question was having some trouble giving birth.
He continued: “She needs a little bit of assistance to get the lamb out.”
However Adam also wanted to help one of the stray lambs get adopted, so he wanted to perform what was called a “wet adoption.”
He continued: “Then I want to do a wet adoption, it’s called, so I need to collect the birth waters as the lamb is born - and I’ll rub the lamb in the waters.”
Viewers than sat through the newborn lamb being pulled out of its mother’s womb by Tom.
