#AmericanGods's Shadow Moon star reveals details surrounding the House on the ...

American Gods welcomed season two onto Amazon Prime Video last week, and saw the return of Shadow Moon (played by Ricky Whittle) and his enigmatic mentor Mr. Wednesday (Ian McShane).

But before business was to be conducted, Wednesday wanted to bring Shadow “Backstage” - to the plane of the gods so they could discuss their next step in the war against the New Gods.

This could not happen anywhere, however, which prompted Wednesday to take Shadow - and his allies - to The House on the Rock in Wisconsin.

This tourist attraction is a real building which spans a large surface area, and encompasses an incredible array of attractions.

And although the show takes on a larger-than-life appearance in every shot, the stars of the show revealed the House on the Rock did not need anything extra.

Speaking to press including Express.co.uk, Shadow star Ricky spoke about the house and its significance in the show’s source material of the same name.

He explained: “Well it’s a very famous part of the book and we’re taking you along this timeline of Neil Gaiman’s - and then deviating a little to keep it fresh.

“But [the house is] this incredible place that’s a real house in the middle of nowhere in Wisconsin

which is insane.

“I still don’t think we’re going to do it justice. Neil tried to tone it down in the book because he didn’t think people would believe this place
