#TheWalkingDead Maggie Rhee star made sick by filming

Lauren, who plays Maggie Rhee, is currently on a break from the show and, luckily for fans, has not joined other long-term cast members in permanently leaving the show. 

However, the actress has revealed there was a point during season three which almost led to her quitting her role.

When filming a The Walking Dead scene in which her character gives Lori Grimes (played by Sarah Wayne Callies) a C-section, she had to abandon filming to be sick. 

She revealed to Syfy: “I threw up; I was so uncomfortable.

“It was a moment that was so pivotal in the show, and so exemplary of The Walking Dead, that was terrifying and made you want to run away - and ended up being one of the most important things?

“It was so - within the story, so necessary. And it was so… impactful on the characters and on the viewer. And just the rawness of it, and the real of it. 

“I look back on the moment, and I was like, ‘What does that tell you about yourself?’”

The Walking Dead scenes are often very visually graphic scenes and this admission shows that filming is very hands-on. 

Fans only have to remember season nine, episode 12 in which Alpha (Samantha Morton) decapitated one of her followers for challenging her authority to know how gruesome the scenes can be.
