The cleanest airlines in the world have been revealed in a new global survey. Asian carriers dominated the list and, shockingly, no UK airlines made the top 10, or even the top 30. Ryanair, easyJet, British Airways and other UK airlines were nowhere to be seen on the ratings. Instead, the World's Best Airline Cabin Cleanliness 2018 went to Japan's ANA All Nippon Airways.
Flights: Cleanest airlines in the world revealed - but British Airways didn’t even make top 10
ANA All Nippon Airways is the largest airline in Japan on the basis of fleet size.
The rankings were carried out as part of the Skytrax World Airline Awards 2018.
UK-based aviation industry reviewer Skytrax carried out the research by surveying passengers.
Travellers were asked to rate the standard and quality of aircraft cabins.
They looked at tables, carpets, toilets, seat areas and cabin panels.
In second place came Taiwan’s EVA Air and in third place South Korea’s Asiana Airlines.
