BBC News presenter Simon McCoy burst out laughing after his guest jumped out her seat right before the Brexit interview. McCoy, known for his hilarious on-air quips, greeted his guest who seconds later moved out of the shot. The BBC News presenter quickly claimed his guest had “walked off on me” before he started laughing.

He said: “Let’s go to Catherine Haddon, who is from the Institute for Government, is in Westminster.

“And, has just walked off on me, has just gone. Erm, Catherine, are you there?”

Ms Haddon quickly replied: “Yes.”

The Senior Fellow at the Institute for Government appeared on BBC News to discuss John Bercow’s latest Brexit announcement when the blunder took place.

Ms Haddon appeared to be having a conversation when she moved out of the camera shot before returning to her seat seconds later.

Explaining what the Speaker's announcement meant, Ms Haddon said: “What has just happened is John Bercow has put down a very big marker saying that the Government cannot bring back this meaningful vote for a third time, unless it is changed substantially. He has implied he will be the one to judge whether or not it has changed.
