It may have been more than 20 years since Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson, both 59, officially divorced, but despite having parted ways on a romantic note, the pair have maintained an amicable relationship. So much so, in fact, that many people have been left wondering what the odds are on the duo getting remarried. And, while the two may lead separate lives these days, the Duke and Duchess of York sat beside one another in the church back in October, as they watched their youngest daughter Princess Eugenie, 28, wed her now-husband Jack Brooksbank. The wedding itself, which took place in Windsor Castle’s St George’s Chapel, was televised - with many fans taking interest in the event from across the globe.
The wedding itself used style and design to convey a number of messages.
For example, the bride had asked for her wedding dress, by Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, to have a low back feature, having had surgery at the age of 12 to correct scoliosis.
What’s more, the fabric, had a number of meaningful symbols to the royal, such as a Thistle for Scotland in a nod to Balmoral, a Shamrock for Ireland to her mother’s side of the family, and a York Rose and ivy to celebrate the couple’s own home.
Meanwhile, the mother of the bride wore a green dress by local Windsor company Emma Louise Design.
The Duchess of York carried a vintage Manolo Blank bag, which her mother, Susan Barrantes, carried at Sarah’s own wedding.
However, in November last year, Sarah revealed there was another subtle nod to her own nuptials in last year’s outfit.
