Dan Walker was all smiles when he caught up with the stars of Kilimanjaro: The Return, sharing a picture of the cast online. In a photo uploaded to his Instagram account, the journalist posed beside retired Labour MP Ed Balls and Pointless host Alexander Armstrong. Little Mix’s Leigh-Anne Pinnock and Jade Thirwall, as well as Love Island 2018 champion Dani Dyer were also in the picture. But Strictly Come Dancing head judge Shirley Ballas and Loose Women regular Anita Rani were noticeably absent from the snap.

Captioning the sweet image, Dan told his 68,2000 followers he was thrilled to reunite with them following their climb up Africa’s highest mountain for Comic Relief.

He went on to say he was stunned by the amount of money the group had raised for the worthy cause and encouraged his fans to continue to donate.

“Absolutely staggered that the total now stands at £2.7 million quid,” the father-of-three revealed.

“You can still watch the documentary by searching for ‘Comic Relief’ on the BBC iPlayer and the donation link stays in my bio.”

Naturally, fans of the star praised him and the others for supporting Comic Relief by trekking Kilimanjaro by commenting below the photograph.
