Sophie Gradon's boyfriend's cause of death days after her funeral revealed

Coroner Eric Armstrong has ruled that the 25-year-old boyfriend of Sophie Gradon took his own life after taking cocaine. The inquest was told he had had hanged himself and had alcohol and cocaine in his body when he died. Aaron’s mother Donna discovered him in his bedroom at the family home in Blyth, Northumberland, on July 10 last year. A Northumbria Police spokesman said at the time of Aaron's death: "At around 12.20pm on July 10 police received a report from the ambulance service that a 25-year-old man had been found deceased at a property on Furnace Road in Bebside, Blyth.

“There is not believed to be any third party involvement and a report will now be prepared for the coroner."

Sophie, who rose to fame in the 2016 series of Love Island, died on June 20 last year at the age of 32.

Following her death, Aaron shared a heartbreaking message in view of his 55,000 Instagram followers.

Alongside a picture of the pair, he wrote: “Just wish I could cuddle you all day miss you so much man Sophie not a minute goes by with out your gorgeous smile being a picture in my mind everyday we spent together was so amazing.

“I need them days back… I love you princess.”
