The historical drama will return to ITV this Sunday with Jenna Coleman back in the starring role as Queen Victoria.
Meanwhile, Tom Hughes is also returning in his role of Prince Albert as the pair embark on a new chapter in their lives.
However, beyond this season there’s great personal devastation a little further down the line when Prince Albert dies as Victoria is just 42-years-old.
Now writer Daisy Goodwin has revealed that she’s started planning out the sad death of the monarch’s beloved husband and how the scenes will play out.

She told press: “I might have an idea. I might have. Obviously…I don’t really think of it like that.
“I’m more interested in what he does – I mean the the run up to his death is fascinating to me. And tragic.
“He will have to die at some point as much as I would like to keep him alive forever. At some point he will have to leave us.”
After Albert’s death, Victoria went on to form a close relationship with her attendant John Brown and Daisy also added she was looking to explore that too.
