Alexander Armstrong, 49, joined the likes of Dan Walker, Shirley Ballas and Ed Balls to climb Kilimanjaro in a bid to raise money for Comic Relief. The latter has been raising money for a number of charities who help people in need across the world since 1985. This year, after much blood, sweat and tears, Alexander and his team managed to raise £2.7 million. But one Twitter user questioned the team’s intentions and said he felt “uneasy” about the situation.
The Twitter user wrote: “Congratulations. But I do feel a bit uneasy about wealthy people doing something that 99 per cent of the population will never be able to do and asking those people who are less wealthy than them to give more money.
