Alex Jones: #TheOneShow co-host takes swipe at her after on-air blunder

Alex Jones, 41, and co-host Matt Baker, 41, were joined on the sofa on the BBC show by actresses’ Jessica Hynes and Anita Dobson, as well as comedy writer Paul Mayhew-Archer last night before the hilarious exchange took place. During the episode they took part in game titled Scale of Annoyance where the presenters asked their guests what frustrates them the most, from people eating too loudly to road violations. But it was Matt’s cheeky swipe which caught everyone’s attention when he said: “How about people who leave their phone on during a live broadcast?” The funny jibe came after Alex’s phone began to ring earlier in the show, forcing the presenter to apologise.

As Matt was giving an introduction ahead of a VT, the Welsh host’s phone pinged leaving her appearing shocked by the incident.

However, she apologised saying: “Oh sorry, my phone just went off. Let me turn it off.”

Fortunately, the pair saw the humorous side to the episode, with Alex chuckling along after Matt jokingly jibed her.

Meanwhile, the Welsh beauty recently opened up about her being a country girl living in a city during a recent broadcast of The One Show.
