In a fiery Cabinet meeting, the Prime Minister was warned by as many as 10 ministers her initial delay plan would not be accepted and would eventually lead to a softer Brexit. Due to the threat from her most senior ministers, the Prime Minister is expected to scrap her initial plan according to The Sun. The Cabinet Ministers told Mrs May she should only seek a three-month delay during talks at a Brussels summit this week.
One pro-Leave minister told The Sun: “Nobody knows what the f*** is going on, or even who in No10 is actually gripping it. Maybe nobody is.
“The whole thing is a national humiliation on a scale we have not seen in many, many decades - if ever before.”
If Mrs May were to seek a much shorter extension from the EU it would hurt her plans to pressure hardline Brexiteers into backing her deal in a final Commons debate next week.
The UK now heads towards the original March 29 exit dates with still no clear plan going
