#coronationstreet Two suspects in factory wreckage RULED OUT after crucial clue?

Coronation Street bosses set the wheels in motion for the ITV soap’s latest whodunit when they showed a mystery person clambering onto the Underworld factory roof and fiddling with the fixture.

In the first episode of the double bill on Monday’s show, the unidentified individual, who wore a black hoody, tampered with the building as a machinist worked inside.

Despite the culprit concealing their identity, several soap watchers have insisted neither Robert Preston (played by Tristan Gemmill) nor Seb Franklin (Harry Visinoni) is responsible for the disaster.

The twosome were recently revealed as suspects in the wreckage when a list of six characters were shared ahead of the factory collapse by soap producers.

However, some viewers have ruled the pair out as suspects after they were not included in the closing credits at the start of the week.

There is a possibility this could be a ploy by show bosses to keep viewers guessing until the person responsible for the tragedy is revealed.

Robert was once an obvious culprit as he wished ill on Underworld owner Carla Conor (Alison King), after blaming her for the end of his relationship with Michelle Connor (Kym Marsh).

Following his fallout with Michelle, the chef said he hoped to see the businesswoman’s world “come crashing down”.
