The royal duo visited King’s College London to open its new Bush House. Kate chose to wear a floral black fascinator that was identical to the one she wore during a 2012 appearance with The Queen. This was during The Queen’s Diamond Jubilee tour, and was the first major public engagement Kate attended without Prince William.
Kate combined the fascinator, from Sylvia Fletcher, with a Catherine Walter dress coat.
It is unclear whether the fascinator was the same one worn in 2012, but the style was clearly identical.
The Queen opted for a pink Stewart Parvin cashmere coat along with pink-rimmed hat and matching broaches.
During the visit the royals met students on a “virtual trading floor” whilst the Duchess shook hands with a robotic arm.
