Charity (played by Emma Atkins) has been struggling to contain a major secret on Emmerdale over the last two weeks.
It was revealed on the ITV soap the mother-of-four had had a phone call from her aunt Lisa Dingle (Jane Cox) sharing the sad news she had terminal cancer.
Charity then went to Scotland to visit the Dingle family matriarch as the devastating reality set in, but Lisa warned her to keep quiet for the time being.
Last night’s instalments saw Charity finally spilling the beans to her fiancee Vanessa Wobodfield (Michelle Hardwick) in heartbreaking scenes, but viewers were unable to focus after noticing how different actress Emma’s hair was.
The star has sported long blonde locks for the last several years on the ITV soap, but the latest episodes saw her featuring a considerably shorter ‘do.
While Charity’s tresses remained blonde and curly, her hair appeared much more voluptuous than usual and was a few inches shorter, sitting just below her shoulders.
