Holly Willoughby has shared details about the surprising moment that Fearne Cotton called her to let her know that she had decided to leave Celebrity Juice. After being a permanent fixture on the show for 10 years, the presenter made the choice to quit ITV2’s comedy game show to “focus on other parts of her career". In an official statement issued by the star to The Sun, the 37-year-old explained: “After 10 years of complete fun, I have decided to leave Celebrity Juice. “It has been a joy to be part of this magnificent show and I wish the team the very best in future series.”

Holly has since revealed that she “didn’t expect” it when she heard the shock news over the phone.

She added: “I knew something was up because she called me and she never calls me! She texts me a gazillion times, she’s fast at texting.”

“When my phone rang and it was her I was like, ‘What’s happened?’, I knew she was going to tell me something big.”

The This Morning favourite then went on to explain how she felt in that moment: “I was sad because I’m going to miss her. You never want anything to end, it’s been brilliant and such fun and I love the fact that I had my friend there with me every series.”

Despite Fearne’s announcement, Holly will return to the show this week with Keith Lemon and hopes at some point her pal will do the same.
