Charity CoppaFeel! is working with health and beauty retailer Superdrug to operate the scheme. The chain has become the first high street retailer to offer "no-touch" consultations on how to carry out a breast or pectoral muscle examination. The service was launched in the retailer's 56 in-store nurse clinics across the UK yesterday.

Advice on self-checking will be offered free of charge to anyone who attends a pre-booked consultation with a Superdrug nurse.
Dr Pixie McKenna, Superdrug's "health and wellbeing ambassador", said: "Once you know how simple checking your breasts is, it can save your life.
"I am so pleased to see Superdrug nurses will be taking this initiative to all patients.
"Everyone should be able to check, whether on themselves or a partner, or even talking it through with a friend - the more conversations the better."
Love Island star Olivia Buckland, 25, who is supporting the initiative, said: "After finding a lump in my own breast in the past and having it removed, the chance to work with CoppaFeel! and Superdrug really resonated with me.

During the sessions, trained nurses will talk women through how they can self-examine and offer them guidance on regular checking.
