Luther (played by Tom Hopper) and Allison (Emmy Raver-Lampman) became instant fan favourites among The Umbrella Academy cast when the TV series dropped on Netflix last month. Adopted by alien-turned-billionaire Sir Reginald Hargreaves (Colm Feore), Luther and Allison are adoptive brother and sister, but this didn’t stop them having a romance in the Netflix series. The Umbrella Academy is made up of seven children spontaneously born on the same day in 1989 and adopted by eccentric billionaire Reginald Hargreeves.
Luther and Allison are two of the seven siblings adopted alongside Klaus (Robert Sheehan), Number Five (Aidan Gallagher), Ben (Justin H Min), Vanya (Ellen Page), and Diego (David Castañeda).
Despite their adoptive sibling status, Allison and Luther intrigued Netflix subscribers with their on-screen romance.
While some fans have labelled the relationship as ‘incest’, Gerard Way and Steve Blackman had different ideas.
