Huw Edwards: BBC star on surprising downside to three-stone weight loss ...

Huw Edwards has managed to completely transform his appearance at the age of 57 after losing three-stone within a year thanks to a rigorous boxing regime. However, the BBC News presenter recently joked that his impressive achievement has come with one surprising pitfall. The Welsh broadcasting icon seemed to be slightly underwhelmed by the public’s response to his hard work, as he lamented his loss of fan mail. Huw made the shock confession when speaking to the Daily Mirror at the RTS Awards, explaining: “I don’t get fan mail anymore though. Letters don’t come.

“I used to have a bundle of mail to open every week.”

In spite of this admission, Huw clearly isn’t letting the lack of attention phase him as he continues to maintain his tough training routine.

The presenter added: “The boxing training is going pretty well. I do boxing two or three times a week.”

“I do TRX too, but only once a week in the park otherwise people will think I am going completely mad.”

TRX provides suspension training, utilising ropes to enhance strength by working against the user’s own body weight.

Huw has looked to the experts for help in his fitness journey, recently teaming up with boxing champ Clinton McKenzie to take his skills to the next level.
