The horrific footage shows the woman screaming for help whilst holding her 9-month-old child as flames burn through the ground floor of the building near the Champs-Elysées. Disturbed bystanders then spotted the woman waving through the thick black smoke on the second floor and frantically alert emergency services. Fire crew and armed police then proceed to rush into the building through the fire in a dramatic Saturday afternoon in the French capital.
The mother-of-four and child are understood to have been saved and taken to safety by emergency services.
The ground-floor of the building in question is home to banking agency Banque and was targeted by the ‘gilets jaunes’ who remain angered by tax-rises in France.
More than 10,000 people marched through Paris over the weekend in the latest clash between police and protestors.
