MPs reportedly want the Prime Minister to stand down because of her handling of Brexit. Sir Brady visited Mrs May on Monday to tell her she does not have the support of her party, the Daily Telegraph reported. The visit was sparked after Mr Brady was “bombarded with text messages” by colleagues demanding that she quit.
A huge number of MPs have directly challenged the leader over the past fortnight after the second failure of her Brexit deal, the paper revealed.
A group of 15 whips confronted Mrs May before the meaningful vote on her Brexit deal last week.
One told her to resign while others warned she has lost the trust of backbenchers.
A source told The Daily Telegraph: “There was a lot of anger.”
